The Witching Hour

Halloween at Henricus

Celebrate Halloween at Henricus Historical Park and delve into the history of witchcraft! We’ve got all sorts of spooky fun planned for adults and children alike. Throughout the day interpreters will offer demonstrations and discussions on witch trials, witch hunters, familiars, and cunning folk. Try your hand at a craft or have your tarot read. Starting at noon we’ll have libations by Dancing Kilt Brewery for the first installment of our History by the Pint Series.

Visitors can take a walk through our self-guided exhibit featuring a video lecture by University of Richmond professor, Dr. Kristin M.S. Bezio and a brand new gallery show with original works for sale by local artists!

Out on the bluff, vendors will be ready at our Witch Market with all of your spell-crafting needs. And if you’ve been wondering what to do about trick-or-treating this year, wonder no longer! We have a special add-on ticket available for extra children’s activities, a costume parade, and trick-or-treating with pre-bagged candy.

YES, costumes are encouraged!

Safety is our priority-
All guests, staff, and vendors are required to wear facial coverings indoors and outdoors when social distancing cannot be maintained. Guests are asked to maintain at least 6ft of social distancing at all times and market tents will be approximately 10ft apart.

Date: Saturday, October 31
