“Liberty or Death”

Virginia in Rebellion 1676-1865

This event will demonstrate the clothing, gear, and weapons of several rebellions in Virginia’s history. Living history volunteers will be representing Nathaniel Bacon’s rebels from 1676, Virginia’s “Patriots” in rebellion from the War for Independence from 1775-1783, and Virginia’s soldiers in the American Civil War from 1861-1865. Presentations and weapons demonstrations will be ongoing throughout the day.
