17th Century Virginia Governments: Long live the King…or Mamanatowick?

Join us on a guided tour of Henricus to compare early 17th century English colonial and Powhatan Indian governments. Discover the political leaders, laws, civic duties, and economic systems that shaped the colonial and Powhatan Indian communities in the Virginia Tidewater Region. This program takes place outdoors. Participants will be required to walk through the historical site and stand for extended periods of time. Please wear appropriate footwear and dress for the weather.
