Three Centuries of Virginia Christmas
Visit with Father Christmas!
Celebrate Three Centuries of Virginia Christmas at Henricus Historical Park! Begin in 1619 and experience what early Christmas traditions may have been like for the English colonists, then move on to 1771 and explore what the first Christmas would have been like for Revolutionary patriots of Virginia coming home from the War of Independence. Lastly, guests will be able to experience the familiar Christmas of the 1860s around the time of the Civil War, when Christmas trees and Santa began to appear in American homes. Songs, food, decorations, and merry-making will be had throughout the site!
Your festive journey through time will end with a visit from Father Christmas – he’ll be there to hear everyone’s Yuletide wishes! Make your holidays historical at Henricus.
