Success of the Citie: 17th-Century Henricus

Tour the Citie of Henricus, the second successful English settlement in Virginia, to learn about the successes and challenges faced by colonists in the early 17^th century. Costumed historical interpreters engage students in an exploration of English defense and military strategies, historical trades and occupations, and the economics of Virginia’s first cash crop: tobacco.
