The English Militia: The 17th Century Foundations of the American Soldier

Henricus Interpreters will be demonstrating the clothing, equipment, weapons, and tactics of the English militia of Virginia in the 17th century and how the infusion of European military traditions coupled with native warfare shaped the American fighting man through the centuries.  An exhibit of armor will be displayed in the church.
