Adult Program: Intro to Herbal Medicines

(Ages 16+)

Henricus Historical Park is excited to present Introduction to Herbal Medicines on February 29 from 1-3pm! This is an adult program taking place in both our Powhatan Indian town and 1611 colonial Citie of Henricus. Come out and enjoy the fresh air in a natural and historical setting, while learning about the ways medicinal herbs were used by Powhatan Indians and English Colonists 400 years ago in Virginia. Discover what plants and techniques were brought with the English from home, what was already being practiced here by the Powhatans, and explore the myths and facts surrounding these herbal practices. Finish off the day by creating your own herbal tea to take home!
