Carving Turnips and Hunting for the Witch

Journey to Henricus and learn about the Halloween traditions of old. Families are invited to join us and take part in a scavenger hunt where children can search for clues about the Witch’s presence at our historic site. If they succeed and are not tricked away by the spirits and ghouls -they will get a treat!

Interpreters will guide visitors through the site in their search while also partaking in “All’s Hallows” traditions, such as spooky stories, preparing bonfires, carving turnips, and more!

*Turnip carving will be demonstrated by interpreters for safety reasons*
