The Civil War Soldiers of Dutch Gap

Interpreters will represent both Union and Confederate soldiers while fighting in the Dutch Gap vicinity in August 1864 and through the winter of 1865.  Demonstrations include interpretations of the roles of sailors, infantry, artillery and engineers of both sides that were involved in the actions around this area and the engineering effort of the Dutch Gap Canal.  Several reproduction civil war cannons will be fired on the James River Bluff at 11:00, 1:00 and 3:00.
