Colonists with Students

Home School Day

Henricus, the Citie on the Edge of Forever

How did Virginia colonization begin?  Why did some early Jamestown settlers move upriver to the “new” outpost of Citie of Henricus?  Life in the 1600s in Virginia was challenging: who did the colonists meet, how did their government change, what was the new settlement like and how did they survive? Experience a home school education program designed to help meet curriculum goals in a fun, interactive environment at a living history museum.  Students will be divided by age level to work on age-appropriate activities and curriculum.
