Experience a home school education program designed to help meet curriculum goals in a fun, interactive environment at a living history museum. Students will work with our re-created colonial Citie as the colonists set up their militia, economy and way of life. Students will also learn how the native inhabitants, the Powhatan Indians, organized their successful and widespread society. Students will be divided by age level to work on age-appropriate activities and curriculum.

Join us for our signature annual celebration of the 1611 founding of the Citie of Henricus. Watch 400 years of history come to life with living history re-enactments, military drills and musket firings, craftsmen and blacksmiths, 17th-century medicinal demonstrations, Virginia Indian activities, historical children’s games and crafts, storytelling and more.
The 400th anniversary of the death of Pocahontas and Rev. Alexander Whitaker will be commemorated. Tour 17th-century ship replica, Godspeed from Jamestown Settlement. Our largest and most popular annual event.

From 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. visitors will experience paranormal delight in one of Virginia’s most historic locations. Spend the evening with Henricus staff and be involved in a paranormal investigation of the historic citie. RSVP in advance as space is limited.
